Patrons had the choice of which car to sit in and once I stepped foot in the newly renovated, spared-no-expense lounge car, I knew this was THE car to be in. The stories overheard or told are numerous, like the ninety-six and ninety-two year old ladies who used to take the train from St. Anthony to Louisville, Kentucky; or that the ninety-six year old lady, still moving very well and sharp as a tack, had thirteen children! There was a younger couple on the train, who were much more into the latest news of pro football and college basketball, but the older people were the most interesting and entertaining.

There was an older gentleman, I would say in his late fifties who ended up being an IU alumnus. The stories we shared were numerous and we both relished in the brotherhood that is Indiana University and the beauty of Bloomington, IN.
